Johnny Kelly at Nexus gets scientific and uncovers the truth behind the story of how we Homo Sapiens out-evolved the Neanderthals (err….probably). It’s all down to the good times as this charming film reveals.

We were delighted to work with Johnny Kelly again on this commercial for Bacardi.
It’s a live action and animation mix and we were asked to work on the live action elements to give them a pristine look to match the overall illustrative style. This included a lot of clean-up and beauty as well as rig removal and composites from multiple takes. The “TV pause shot” was first cleaned up in Flame then output to VHS and given a good “workout” on an old VHS deck to give it the authentic look. It was then imbedded back in the cut in Flame.

Lastly we provided a master grade to bring it all together.
