Directed by Chris Balmond for Red Bee Media is this trail for the third series of the cult BBC drama Being Human.
It’s a comedy-drama series about three twenty-something housemates trying to live normal lives, despite struggling with unusual afflictions – one is a werewolf, one is a vampire and the other is a ghost.
This trail finds our heroes in everyday locations, doing everyday things but never far removed from their alter egos.

To capture the slow motion required the ident was shot on the Phantom camera.
There was a lot of set extension undertaken to heighten the relationship between the three sets which all shared deep perspective viewpoints. The library was the most obviously technical scene and multiple plates were stitched together in order to place “Annie” (played by Lenora Crichlow) in the middle of the flying books. Other work included digital set extension, for example the supermarket ceiling and the streetlamps behind the bus. Also added were enhancements to the characters makeup to subtly dramatise their changes.
The mix of the mundane locations with the rather unusual daydreams of the characters make for a great ident. Look out for the new series coming soon to the BBC.
