Our friendship goes back a long way with talented director and writer Robert Samuels. In fact Mike and Robbie first met in art school back in 1995. It’s been great to see him evolve as a film maker and even better to have worked along-side him down the years. We were delighted that his hard work paid off last year when Film4 invested in Robbie to further develop one of his feature scripts under their umbrella. Well done Robbie, look out for that one in the future.
We’ve recently been involved in the post on the project ‘Hunting Moon’. A brilliantly crafted film made for the charity organisation ‘Malaria No More’. To gain as much exposure as possible the piece was disguised as a movie trailer for a new horror flick following a group of students travelling in Africa. The group are hunted by an unknown, ruthless killer, revealed after watching the trailer to be malaria. Malaria is a treatable and preventable disease but still contributes to the death of one to three million people, mainly children, each year in Africa alone.
The project has been a huge success and has attracted the attention and deserving support of many celebrities such as David Beckham and Andy Murray. Malaria No More are dedicated to ending deaths caused by aalaria by 2015. Please support them here: malarianomore
